The Medicare Locals Discussion Paper on Governance and Functions was released on 29 October 2010. This paper specifically addressed the following areas:

The aim of this paper was to provide information to the public and other interested parties as to the proposed roles and functions specific to Medicare Locals.

The Medicare Locals Guidelines and Information for Applicants took into account submissions on the discussion paper and views of other key stakeholders.
