Kalamunda Hospital Campus, Kalamunda
The Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Mark Butler, held a health reform roundtable at the Kalamunda Hospital Campus, West of Perth, Western Australia, on 20 January 2010.
Dr John Keenan, Director of Clinical Services at the hospital, introduced the Parliamentary Secretary. The event was attended by local health professionals.
Issues discussed include:
- Challenges relating to supply of health workforces – specialists, nurses, and support workers
- The potential benefits of an electronic health record
- Provision of services for the ageing population
- The increasing cost of medical administration
- More effective use of secondary hospitals.
